There’s no denying that we’re in the middle of a mental health epidemic. Our fast-paced, modern lifestyles aren’t good for us and the pressures of work, family and other commitments are costing us our health.
15.4 million working days are lost each year in the UK due to stress, depression and anxiety (this is according to LSF self-reported estimates, so the actual number is likely even higher).
We all have a responsibility to protect ourselves from the harmful effects of stress as well as preventing burnout and poor mental health. - Slowing down the effects of ageing in the body’s cells, including brain cells
Mindfulness can be practised by anyone, anywhere. It doesn’t need to take up a lot of time and can easily be integrated into your lifestyle in a way that suits you.
